Project RESULTS is a program funded by a Working Wonders grant from the Rhode Island Department of Education as part of the RITTI 2000 (Rhode Island Teachers Training Initiative Program) Intensive School Support Inititiative.  During the summer of 2000, 14 teachers attended a 60 hour workshop for training in technology and the integration of technology into their various disciplines.  Teachers from the following departments participated in the program:  English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.  One model classroom per department was provided to the teacher participants to share and each teacher produced a curriculum project which is shared via the database for the RITTI 2000 program.  To check out these projects go to the RITTI 2000 searchable database.  These same teachers committed to producing electronic portfolios with at least one of their classes during the 2000-2001 school year.
As a result, approximately 320 digital portfolios were produced.  Students from grades 9-12 had the opportunity to create an electronic portfolio which they will continue to expand as they go forward in their academic endeavors.

This website has been created to assist this year's participants in finding the resources they need to assist them in their work both during the training session and throughout the school year.

The program has been successful enough to garner the support of the district and is being replicated by the district for the 2001-2002 academic year.  Four additional model classrooms will be shared by the eight participants in this summer's program.  These teachers will integrate technology into their work and help their students create digital portfolios.
